Big World Breakthrough!

It all began when the world-famous Seattle-based breaking crew, The Massive Monkees, invited Aaron Walker-Loud (Big World Breaks founder, drummer and band director) to provide music at breakdancing competitions and jams in the early 2000’s. Putting together a team for such events took a need for players with versatility, power and improvisation skills. Walker-Loud dug deep into the funk, soul, jazz and world music communities to build the right crew for the job. Many of these players are Garfield and Roosevelt High School jazz ensemble alumni and were members of Iguales and The Flood. After the production team began working regularly within the mighty Seattle breakdancing scene, the word got around quickly and the B.W.B. movement snow-balled. Big World Breaks now stands as a serious force to be reckoned with on stage and in the studio, directing and supporting numerous acts with their musical works.

Big World Breaks (One Family Inc.’s house band) consists of a large network of musicians who perform and record projects for educational workshops, clubs, private parties, corporate events, festivals, school events, soundtracks, scores and break-dancing events; nominated for best reggae/world music group in the Seattle Weekly Music Awards 2006. Big World Breaks Director and Founder: Aaron Walker-Loud, was also nominated for best drummer/percussionist in the Seattle Weekly Music Awards 2006.

“4 Those Lost…” has been a serious undertaking in itself. Zachary Self and Aaron Walker-Loud (co-founders of One Family Inc. Studios) have taken this project to heart within their music production laboratory. Walker-Loud orchestrated a heavy-weight rough draft album, featuring many of the Northwest region’s most gifted vocalists and musicians. Z. Self used his production ears, versatile music perspective and technical experience to help polish it off for the world; and here it is ladies and gentlemen: “4 Those Lost…”

“There’s something for everyone here, and listening to 4 Those Lost might help you find yourself.”
